Why use this tool

Common use cases

Frequently asked questions

What encryption does PDF Forge LiB use?

Standard PDF encryption (AES) is applied so the file can only be opened with the correct password in any compliant PDF reader.

Can I remove a password if I don't know it?

No - password removal requires you to enter the existing password. We don't offer PDF password cracking, which would only be legitimate for files you own or are authorized to unlock.

Can I restrict printing or copying without a password?

Yes, you can set permission restrictions (like disabling printing or copying) separately from the open password.
